Camping and organized camps have been developing in Asia Oceania for many decades. Camping has become an unforgettable experience of many youngsters and adults alike. Such experience increases self efficacy, capability to get along with others, and affinity to the nature. Time changes yet more and more people find the value of camp experience in the modern society for growth and development for children and youths, the value to foster change.

 

The 3^rd Asia Oceania Camping Congress in 2009 (“AOCC2009”) is not only a venue for camp people to get together. It is a platform for camp practitioners, educators, and academics to sharing and learning practice, skills and research results with joy and fun. The primary purpose is to help camp people to provide better program and environment for children and youths to become a good person and a good citizen. Furthermore, AOCC2009 provide an opportunity for camp people to know each other and explore mutual-benefited ways for camp development.
